In its continued efforts to develop Taiwanese players capable of competing at an international level, Taichung Rock Football Club has adopted an open and practical approach to strengthening its global links. Following the positive relationship established last year with Hellas Verona, representatives from Legnago Salus travelled to Taiwan in November to observe both the Taiwan Second Division and Taiwan Football Premier League in person. After their visit, the Italian club formally invited five Taichung Rock players to Italy for training.
The selected players — Kuan-Yu Kao, Yu-Lin Li, Chien-Feng Hsu Liu, Yu-Hsiang Hu , and Ho Chien-Kai — travelled to Italy on 25 January under the supervision of Technical Consultant Coach Hiu-Ming Chan. They undertook a two-week training period with the club, which concluded on 8 February.
Kuan-Yu Kao, who had previously trained with Italian Serie D side SSD Vigasio and received strong recognition, defender Yu-Lin Li, who has delivered consistently solid performances in the Premier League this season, and reserve team forward Chien-Feng Hsu Liu, who impressed in the Second Division, were all invited to train directly with Legnago Salus’ first team.
Meanwhile, midfielder Yu-Hsiang Hu and goalkeeper Chien-Kai Ho joined the club’s Under-19 squad, training alongside some of the region’s most promising young players and gaining valuable insight into the professional environment.
Taichung Rock expressed its sincere gratitude to Legnago Salus for the invitation, noting that the opportunity allowed players of different ages and profiles to experience training at the appropriate professional level, whether within the first team or youth system. Such recognition from an overseas professional club represents a significant milestone for the players involved. The club hopes they will make full use of this experience, apply what they have learned, and take an important step forward in both their own careers and the future development of Taiwanese football.
