Taichung Rock FC and Subkarma Support Local Community with Book Donation to Tanxiu Non-Profit Kindergarten

On 12 January, Taichung Rock FC, together with its partner Subkarma, visited the Tanxiu Non-Profit Kindergarten, affiliated with Tanxiu Junior High School, to donate English learning books for young children, Cabbage & Tyler. The initiative formed part of the club’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the local community and supporting children’s learning and development.

The donation arose from the long-standing partnership between Subkarma and Taichung Rock, extending their joint community work into early-years education. It reflects a shared belief that football is not only a sport, but also a platform to connect education, schools, and wider social responsibility.

The club expressed its sincere thanks to Principal Yan Chuan-Lei for her support in making the visit possible. On the day, Kindergarten Principal Chen Ya-Wen, Taichung Rock Technical Consultant Coach Chan Hiu-Ming, and Subkarma’s founder Anthony — who is also one of the authors of Cabbage & Tyler — attended in person to present the books to the children. The pupils received them with great excitement, and the occasion was marked by a warm and joyful atmosphere.

Taichung Rock has long been involved in grassroots football and school partnerships, and continues to put its social responsibilities into practice. This latest initiative extends that commitment beyond the pitch and into the classroom, helping children build confidence and familiarity with English through reading, and laying strong foundations for their future development.
