Taichung Rock and AS Trenčín Strengthen Youth Development Ties with Slovakia Exchange Trip

On 4th August, Taichung Rock Football Club took ten youth players and four coaches to Slovakia for a week-long exchange with local professional club AS Trenčín, covering youth development, coach education and player development. It marks an important step in the Club's international development plans.
The trip builds on a relationship the two clubs have been developing over recent months. TCRFC representatives had earlier visited AS Trenčín's youth academy to see its training structure and development philosophy first-hand and discuss future collaboration. This time, with coaches and players travelling together, that exchange moved onto the pitch itself.
Over the week, TCRFC's players trained with AS Trenčín's youth squads, grouped according to age and stage of development. Getting used to a different training tempo, communicating with new teammates, and adapting to a different footballing culture were all valuable experiences for the players.
The trip also gave the two coaching staffs a chance to compare notes. With Marek Dobiáš, Sporting Director of AS Trenčín's youth teams, and his staff on hand, TCRFC's coaches were able to look closely at how the club approaches player development, training planning and long-term development strategy, with both sides learning from each other through observation and discussion.
TCRFC would like to thank AS Trenčín, Sporting Director Marek Dobiáš and the whole youth development team for their warm welcome and support throughout the trip. From arranging training sessions to the coaching exchange and getting the players settled into the squads, everything ran smoothly, and both players and coaches came away with valuable experience.
The Slovakia trip is an important milestone as the partnership moves into its next phase. Both clubs will stay in touch on youth development, coaching exchange and player development, and the AS Trenčín team is also planning a visit to Taiwan before long to get a closer look at how Taichung Rock runs its club and youth setup.
Taichung Rock hopes to build on this exchange and develop a deeper, longer-term partnership with AS Trenčín, creating more opportunities for young players and coaches on both sides to learn and grow.
